Ok, I did the math, if I were to play a human cleric/mage dualed at level 11, it would take 1,264,000 to regain my cleric abilities. How far into the game is that? Am I to assume that it's almost halfway through. And if that's the case, is it really worth it? I'm tempted to play a sorceror instead, just so I don't have to wait forever to catch up.

That depends. If you play by yourself, you can gain the experience fairly quickly. Again, like I have told you countless times, be Multi-Class! You will have a better advantage (the only disadvantage is slow progression) with defeating nearly everything you come across.

Well it depends, if you are going solo, hell yes. I fyou have six in your party... you may not reach it, or when you do, (given that you try to put spells in your spellbook, anything to have exp) it maybe the showdown with Irenicus already. But rest assured, when ToB comes, its gonna cross over and will kick some bad ass stuff! hope this helps

yeah, I'm dualing to a mage. I figure the extra cleric spells (up to level 6) would be good support once I catch up. I'm trying to have a party with these elements:

Tank w/ two backups
Druid
1 1/2 clerics
1 1/2 to 2 mages
thief

I figure I can do this with this party
Minsc (Tank)
Jah (druid/backup)
Vic (full cleric/backup)
Me (1/2 cleric dualed to mage)
Yoshimo-> Imoen (thief to mage/thief)

I'm also trying to keep my party to 5 members for a slightly quicker level advancement and to always have a slot free for any extra NPC. I'm thinking I could also work this design if I do this though:

Minsc
Jah
Vic
Me (thief dualed to mage at level 10)
Aerie (1/2 cleric 1/2 mage)

but then I lose Imoen, and I'm trying to keep my party full of NPCs that fit well into the storyline.

i say you do all the qeust out the city and than start in the city

you will have alot Ex i say

but jea i dont now if i have done all the quest you will never now

just by reading nw qeust's appear

so try to do as many qeust as possibel
