Exclamation Steve Fossett Search area -- Google Maps

Here's his flight path--people are 'looking' for his downed plane on the goggle maps, but I checked them, and they look outdated as hell. *actually many date passes* I found an overlap of Burning Man too.

Anyway, is the Google map Pro program higher res and more up to date? If so, and they are up to date, I'll help look, I have a very good eye for details.

(Let me know if the Google map pro program dload is up to date though)

The standard imagery is out of date, but theres a project which provides a KML file which provides recent images for google earth.

THANK YOU! Awesome, I will install and use that data! The more eyes, they better the chances we find something. I wish we could get people talking together so we can issue 'grids' for each user to search. It would be more efficient.
Anyway, it's worth a try. Time is running out though.
