I've only done solo so here's my solo take:

Spirit: Restore Health, Spirit Eye, Artifact of Spirit
Sun: Illuminate, Firestorm
Moon: Create Portal, Teleport, Call of Home
Vine: Cure Poison, Breath of Air, Whirling Dirvish
Fiend: LifeSteal,
Stone: Merlin's Shield, Lavawalk

BTW, out of the "special skills", it would be
1. Evil Eye
2. Shadow Cloak
3. Dragon Fire

The spirit eye spell is invaluable when searching for hidden buttons or levers, and for discovering them in the first place. I have found many items and buttons thanks to that spell.

When traversing the seas of Brimloch Roon I have found a few sunken treasure chests at the bottom only because of the spirit eye spell.
