Sounds like something got corrupted within the executable stack, Adam. You may try running either "System Check" or "Scandisk" and get rid of any disk problems. Barring that, back up any data files you have and then completely uninstall Photoshop and reinstall it.

Sorry to hear about this! Hope you can get it fixed. Err...you don't suppose you got a virus on your computer, do you?

Interesting topic.
Just today, I was trying to print from Photoshop, but I got the insufficient memory item, and could not print.
So, I copied my pi onto MS Word, and printed from there.
Ha! Showed it who's boss, didn't I???

Easy fix, you have too many fonts installed (maybe) , Read below for 2 possible fixes: (I personally have 900 fonts installed on Win98)

--------------------------------

Invalid Page Fault Error in Module Cooltypedim.dll When Starting Adobe xxxxx

Issue
When you start Adobe xxx in Windows 95 or Windows 98, the system returns the error, "Adobe xxxx caused an Invalid Page Fault in module Cooltypedim.dll at [address]."

Solutions

Do either of the following:

Solution 1
Reduce the number of active TrueType fonts by moving the font files to another location:

Note: Windows 95 and Windows 98 install several hidden font files (e.g., Marlett.ttf, Dosapp.fon, Vgafix.fon, etc.) that do not appear in Windows Explorer or in the Fonts Control Panel, but they may appear in font management utilities (e.g., Ares FontMinder). Windows will not run without these hidden font files. Do not delete them or remove them from the Windows\Fonts folder.

1. Create a new folder (e.g., C:\TrueType).
2. Open the Windows\Fonts folder.
3. Move TrueType font files, excluding those installed by Windows 95 or Windows 98, from the Windows\Fonts folder to the folder you created in step 1. (For a list of the TrueType fonts installed by Windows 95 or Windows 98, see Additional Information).

After you have completed the steps above, you may want to use Adobe Type Manager (ATM) Deluxe to manage fonts and keep the number of active fonts to a minimum.

Solution 2
If you use a third-party utility to manage fonts (e.g., FontMaster 6.0, included with CorelDRAW 6.0), remove fonts installed with that utility. For instructions, refer to the utility's documentation.

Additional Information

When you start Dimensions, it reads all of the fonts installed in the system. If a font file is damaged, or if large numbers of TrueType fonts are installed, Dimensions cannot process the system's font information and returns the error, "Adobe xxx caused an Invalid Page Fault in module Cooltypedim.dll at [address]".

Corel FontMaster 6.0 manages fonts differently than the Windows Fonts Control Panel. If you install 800 or more TrueType fonts using FontMaster, unexpected font behavior may occur (e.g., unexpected desktop or title bar fonts, errors installing fonts, inconsistent listing of fonts by the Fonts folder, errors starting some applications). Corel Technical Support recommends that you use the Windows Fonts Control Panel when installing large numbers of Corel TrueType fonts.

Windows installs the following TrueType fonts into the Windows\Fonts folder. Because Windows and other applications may require one or more of these fonts to run as expected, Adobe recommends that you do not remove them from the Fonts folder.

Hurrah, Adam Warlock! I never would have thought about the "too many fonts" anomaly!

You may wish to get a freeware font organizer. Bitstream Font Navigator is a great one, but it's a pay-for utility. Fontloader is another one you may want to check out, and it's free.

Cheers,
