I don't have a Mac and unfortuneatly, I am a Defender of the PC but I won't give you any flack. You DO have a PC so I'll let you off easy.... this time!

Why would one own a Mac?
I don't, but had a bad experience once, so probably will never. Sorry.... So are you happy with yours? |

Don't own a Mac and never will, but I hear they are a lot better suited to running design/engineering software than PC's. I have many friends who are chemical engineers and they all own a Mac for design and a PC for everything else

Well, nice to know I'm alone here.
And I am happy with mine (one of the new iBooks-not the dumb colored things that look like stupid clam shells). |

For what it's worth, we have very high-tech graphic art and engineering departments at my work, and they are exclusively Mac. I've had the opportunity to play with some of the machines here and they are unparalleled in smoothness and speed. I've never used one for gaming, so I don't know how they measure up for availability/convenience.

I have a mac I use for some of my graphic stuff. I like my PC more, but I have had the Mac for about 7 months and never had to fiddle with it's configuration once. In that amount of time, I have completely rebuilt and reloaded on my pc at least 2 or 3 times. My G4 runs @ less then half the clock speed of my pc, but it kicks the crap out of it in photoshop.
