Guns are merely tools, what kind of work they do is determined by the user. To be afraid of guns just because they are guns is like being afraid of a hammer, or a chain-saw, both dangerous if not understood and used properly. Most people fear that which they know nothing about. Any solid object can be used to kill, so guns don't have a corner on that market. Unless a HUMAN picks up a gun, loads it, aims it at another person and fires it, a gun is just as incapable of killing as a flower is. Withuot human intervention, a gun would eventually rust away in the last place it was put.

I know, but that would have obviated my use of charming sarcasm and wit, now wouldn't it.

I think we should continue using Timbers thread for the glorification of alcohol. Also I would also to further my own personal agenda by promoting female promiscuity.

That said, LoA, I'm packing up and heading somewhere for a good glass of scotch or bourbon that's actually older than my underwear. And please, for my sake, if you don't drink it straight or on the rocks, don't let me know because that's offensive to good whiskey. Aren't there sayings about lawyers and booze? *sigh*

TL-
Maybe if it wasn't for gun control laws I would have had something to use to hijack this thread. I tried a knife but all that happened is that now I have a cordless mouse. |

Headlines you'll probably never see.
'30,000 Americans killed with hammers in the past year.' 'Chainsaw sniper terrorizes three states - no description yet' 'Schoolboy goes crazy and kills 12 schoolmates with a stick of celery'

On the topic of gun control, specifically in Illinois, I have a relative that says she'll move out of state if a certain person gets elected, because of his views on gun control. My own dad has said several times that if guns get outlawed that they'll have to break in and forceably take his. Quite frankly, I wouldn't mind if his were taken from him. He'd treatened to shoot a couple of guys I'd dated (and was NOT joking).
