Help all you good folk out there, Please!!
Have spent many hours on Balders gate 2, absolutely brilliant!!
and am now playing Icewind Dale, different but just as good!!
I was under the impression you could import characters from BG2 into
IWD, but have had no sucess so far. Also if or once imported, do characters
from BG2 have to restart on level one or do they retain there origional
stats?
Lady/fighter/mage/ in distress seeking answers

p.s. If you "can" import, do Mages get to use their familiers or am
I just being silly and expecting too much!!

as far as I understand it you can't import Icewind Dale characters into BG2 either. It is meant to be a seperate adventure. I rather liked it myself...and am now playing the Trials of the LureMaster. The free downloadable expansion for Icewind Dale. But you have to have the Heart of Winter expansion installed for that to work.
