The Angus are raised in small groups in large fields and with plenty of fresh water to drink and Tall green grass under their feet to eat. Then they butcher them with A single large caliber bullet to the brain so that they never make them suffer or panic.
I had heard of this way of raising cattle but until I moved to Virginia I had never had any of this Beef. The Prime Rib and the Porterhouse steaks from the Black Angus, (when cooked correctly), just melts in your mouth and even when its cooked by a novis it tastes great. The ground Beef made into Hamberger patties are the best I've ever had.
Once you eat Black Angus no other beef will ever taste good, everyone I know will always compair other beef to Angus and the Angus always wins.

So My choice isn't Beef over Lamb. It's Black Angus over everything else.

I no longer buy any Beef but Black Angus. I do eat Pork,Bacon, chicken and fish now and then but, I never ever eat Lamb.
I agree with you 100% Back Angus is the best It is not much more in price than regular beef either so I try to buy it when I go shopping, but sometimes I buy what is best in bulk, they do not have Black Angus in bulk here yet

I can't believe no one has metioned horse or dog yet.

I agree that the taste of lamb is weak an and that the overly tender taxture gives it the consistency of "mush" lol. Not a bad taste, I just like my meats to offer me something to chew...chewing your food is important you know.

I prefer beef (Black Angus really is the best) over other meats.

You couldn't pay me to eat pork, we are exposed to enough carginogens just living without voluntarily eating them.

Lamb is by far the superior band. Beef's terrible reggae is just really awkward, on the whole.

*laughs* stop that, your making me hungry

I prefer lamb over beef - if only because most of the beef I've had is too try, strongy, chewy or otherwise not as nice as it should be. Roast lamb with lots of garlic is nice. Or curried lamb. bah, I haven't had breakfast this morning, and this threads making me hungry

What about Kobe Beef? I've never come across it here (strictly Aberdeen Angus in my neck of the woods), but by all reports, it's exceptional
