Anyone here remember "Dungeon" the Board Game?

my uncle had a few of the books and gave them to me as kind of a I don't use these anymore maybe you'll like them. I got the players handbook, dm guide, monster manual and kara tur guide. I've read them all multiple times(although recently my dm guid has disappeared) but never played.

I bought BG2 after reading good reviews about it in some gaming mags.

Before that though, I played some D&D type of games on my Amiga!

I have yet to discover P&P D&D....

Well, for me personally, it all started with the cardgame Magic, the Gathering. Many people around me started to play it as well, and soon their thirst for more of the same made them "discover" D&D. And I followed their example.

Was first introduced to AD&D through this computer game entitled "Heroes of the Lance" published by SSI back in the day of the IBM compatible machines. Moved on to play "Secret of the Silver Blades" also published by SSI some time later. Never did try the PnP stuff as well. Its been one CRPG after another.

1981... I was in the USAF and a friend asked if I had ever played and RPG. I asked whats an RPG and he said I'll come over tonight and we can play.
He brought Traveller.
My character died 2 hours into the character generation on his last term of service and I thought...
"Cripes! All that work for nothing!" He said "Nope, now we start".

Imagion waking up naked in a cryo-berth on an enemy starship and knowing that unless you escaped you were dead. I was hooked from then on.
