Greetings all!!

After a very L O N G weekend with a lot of Border Collies, I'm back on the board and will be attempting to catch up here and with my email (a herculean task).

Thanks to all the regulars who I know took excellent care of all the posts while I was MIA!!

If any of you are interested in looking at some pictures of the picnic try here: http://www.msnusers.com/LovingArmsFa...2/shoebox.msnw

You'll get to see some of my backyard and LOTS of dogs having a great time!

Welcome back Wyv! I must say I envy you your backyard! It looks huge! BTW, can we see you somewhere on the photos? I saw a few people on some of them . And when youŽre in here IŽll ask you: Are the UBB tags gone for ever? I miss them below my posts...

Great dogs Wyvern! I also have a Border Collie named "Max", he is the gentlest dog and very protective. I like the look of the silver coloured border collie in your photos. How come it is that color? Is it a half-breed or a special kind?

Welcome back, Wyv. 'Tis truly good to hear from you.

And I'm curious about the UBB tags, too, although I know you can key them in manually.

UBB tags - well Ziroc seems to have been playing around with the forum settings so I don't know what has become of them. I can ask.

The "silver" BC is a "Blue Merle". That's Clyde in the picture. Merles are one of the many variations in colors possible for BCs. You can also get that sort of a mix color look in a red and white version. Merles often have one or two blue eyes as well!

I don't believe I am in any of the pictures I have seen so far. I'm rather camera shy as a rule, but this is me:

Can you email me a picture of Max (maiee@earthlink.net)? I'd love to see him!

If I manage to recover from the party, I will be posting a lot more pictures of the picnic on the ARMBCR website. Maybe later this week.

Hi Wyvern,
The dog on the jetty looks just like my Sally. She was just becoming a good dog, the training was beginning to stick, but she ran under my ute last year & died. The family was devastated. Border collies are very popular around here as sheepdogs.

Oh Kev!! I'm so sorry!! What a terrible loss!!

It surprises me sometimes how many Border Collies there are around here to rescue. Our group has rehomed over 60 dogs this last year and there were a lot of dogs we couldn't handle and others that were rehomed by the two other BC rescues that work in lower Michigan. So many!
