Who's Voltron?

Now I feel old. Voltron was a japanese animated series that was popular in the U.S., and probably many other places as well (can't confirm, I wasn't there).

There were actually two series I knew of. The more popular one had 5 different people operating 5 different robotic lions, which transformed together to form a singular robot, called Voltron. Voltron was a force for good, and continually saved the earth, seemingly every episode (good stuff man!).

The second, less popular series was in outer space, and had like 30 ships (or something like that, it was a lot) form into a Voltron, and he was really powerful too.

WHO'S VOLTRON? Next your going to be asking me who the Thundercats are ?

I prefer the classic Voltron with the 5 Lions. I actually had all five toys in my earlier days.

Here is a picture of Voltron

He pretty much inspired such ripoffs such as the Power Rangers
