Is it possible to reset an area or a quest so it would be as if I had never been there? I made a mistake, and now it looks like I will not be able to do the limited wish quest. I believe I would need to reset the druid grove area in order to fix things. Any suggestions??
Thanks!!

Welcome to the forums Delyte
If you could be more specific as to what you wish to reset we could help you better. If it is that you killed someone (the ogre?) it can be CLUAed in easily. Also CLUA can be used to set global variables. But again you have to be more specific.

You could possibly use ShadowKeeper to edit the global variables for the quest, although I'm not sure what you should change the variables to.

Welcome to IW Delyte!
[EDIT] Heh, after looking at the other posts, ignore this one...if all you've done is killed a character, just CLUA him in and that should be fine. I was thinking you needed to restart the whole thing[/EDIT] [EDIT] You could just try CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("wishQuest","GLOBAL",0) and then cast limited wish again...that might make the spell do all the work for you of replacing characters etc. [/EDIT] Ok, try this....it may or may not work, but hopefully someone else will be able to pick up where I fail. Type the following in the console: CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("DennisHasGong","GLOBAL",1) CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("wishQuest","GLOBAL",0) CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("wishQuest","GLOBAL",1) The scroll is CLUAConsole:CreateItem("Wishscrl") If that doesn't work and you killed Dennis already, try CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("dennis") Do that in Delosar's inn if he's not there. I can't find him in my game, but i'm playing a Total Conversion at the mo, so it's quite possible he's been overwritten. The odds are not good that this will work with so many variables, but hey, it's always worth a try [ 02-29-2004, 12:06 PM: Message edited by: shamrock_uk ] |

Hi Folks
Thanks for all the warm welcomes and fast responses. The problem Im having is that I killed the ogre that tells you the mage is in the tower, so now when I go to the tower, its empty.. no mage to talk to. My thought was if I reset the isle all together it would be there. I think I will try the SetGlobal("wishQuest","GLOBAL",0) and see what happens. If anyone else has suggestions though, please feel free to offer them! Thanks! Beth

If you could tell us the name of the Ogre we could tell you the code to create him? That's the method most likely to work as well as being the simplest. I would check myself but my only high level mage is in Throne of Bhaal at the mo, so a bit too far away

Or maybe you could accept the fact that you made a mistake, and try to complete the quest on your next game.

The only easy, and reliable, way to reset any quest is to reload.
