Add colors, then edit all posts in which you use your sig right after posting them, not changing anything and the colors will work.

When we convert to the new forum format (UBB 6.0+ something??) I think there will be a mechanism to where you won't have to re-edit to get your sig in color. Whoo-hoo!  ------------------
