Thanks for the info, Larry! I'll have to look into that, since sometimes (rare, but it does happen) I seem to get acid reflux regardless of what I eat. This is especially true if my allergies are acting up (i.e. high allergens in the air).

Oh, I believe you, RevRuby. I seem to be getting all of my mother's allergies all within a few years. She also stated that she really did not get bad allergies until her late 20s to early 30s, which is around my age. Thus, I've probably always had the problem, but with age it has just been "triggered".

Yes, I just realise I'm allergic to any food that were mix or made from coconut milk. This is strange as I never had this allergic before.

Depending on your age, you will become more sensative to certain foods. The basil may even have been old, or the dish may have been off too. Allergies do come and go though and most run a course of about 7 years. I can't stomach Rotten Ronnies (McDonald's) anywhere and I try to stay away from fried food as well. 'course those things are good to stop anytime.
Really all you can do is take an allergy test.

I know as you get older you can lose allergies so I expect you can develop them.
