I got stuck in the serpent temple because of the fourth monkey idol that you're suppose to get from the monkey. The problem is that I forgot to chase the damn monkey and lost him and now I can't find it anywhere. Should I load an earlier save or does it help if I leave and come to the temple? I prefer the last option..

Heyah!
Probably best to save and reload. I found that the monkey usually does a runner and it's impossible to find him if he exits the room.
Hope this helps, happy hunting!

The running monkey is always hard to catch, but he does a loop, between the monkey chute room and the 5 doors room. Make sure and check the boardwalk balcony, and actually check the doors. (I found him 'stuck' to one of them a couple of times

Most of the time reloading doesn't help much. The last 3 or 4 times I did the temple, he actually started outside the gate when I clicked on the lever in the monkey chute room.

.. ..Good luck

Huh? Isn't it normal that the monkey starts his escapade outside the feeding room? Damn. It would've been nice to get it work without loading the save...

If you don't want to play catch a mouse with the nippy rascal, just go to the library and stack the chairs on top of each other. You can reach Kreug's familiar just fine..

I've found that the monkey usually finds ME while I'm wandering around--if I let it get away, that is.

Damn that bugger is fast! I usually use Incinerate on him because he pisses me off so much! I tried launching Firestorm at him once, but he got out of the way in time!

Trying not to state the obvious, but make sure you check in the rooms of the five door room. Sometimes things can hide R E A L good inside either the first or last room.

Also, a quickspell of Flamedrop is a nice way to take him out. He doesn't move much when he's in the flames, and then you can target him with some real heat...

I let that guy run amuck while i was still searching the temple....after I was close to where I needed to be, I found him right in the room with the 4 doors*as mentioned by someone earlier* the rascal was infront of a preist, I offed the preist and the guy was still in the same spot..........My tale should be on here somewhere the title would be *release the monkeys*.....

Peace and good luck finding him....
