Lets not forget Celtic have excellent European pedigree, having won the European cup in 1967 and reaching the final in 1970, and are thus no strangers to the competition's later stages.

Erm...yeah, but bringing up glorydays from almost 40 years ago are pretty much invalid nowadays. Hungary was a major force too, back in the days of Ferenc Puskas, who worries about them nowadays eh ?

And besides, the finals they reached in 1970, they didn't just lose to any team, they lost against Feyenoord, something i'm still proud of today.

It's good to see some Scottish succes again though.

So why did you feel the need to post in a football related thread then ? To tell us how much you hate it ? Well thank you very much, we appreciate the info, now go troll somewhere else.

There still remains only one Scottish team to have won two UEFA competitions

This is very true. The best are in hiding, fooling all you glory hunters before they come out and pounce again. Can't wait! (on a side note, nice victory over Dunfermline yesterday! )

Aberdeen have Celtic this week coming, this will prove a challenge, tho I still wouldnt rule out a cheeky win
