Sunglass Man

I've had Neverwinter Nights for almost six months and have been unable to play it due to my old computer. I've finialy managed to scrap up enough money to buy a newish computer thanks to a friend letting me use their washer/dryer instead of the place down the street and an ample Christmas bonus at work. I'm looking to buy a laptop off of ebay from a guy who seems reputable. In the six months between my buying NEverwinter Nights and now I have lost the manual, so I don't know the exact system resources. If you would be so kind as to tell me if this computer should be able to handel it or not I'll be very happy.

It's an IBM Thinkpad A22M, with an Intel Pentium III 800 mhz processor, 256 megs of ram, 16 bit sound blaster compatible sound card and a Neo Magic Accelerated Video video card.

Do you think this laptop would be able to take this game? On my current computer I tried to start a game and it took me almost an hour to make my character, the cursor didn't move smoothly and the game was so darn slow when i played, I would tell my character to go across the room and then five minutes later he would.

The auction ends in four days, so you can take your time in replying, but a speedy answer would be welcomed so much more. With any luck I can come post on these forums instead of just the Shadows of Amn one before the new year!

Cheers! Jorsh

The System requirements can be found here

The laptop "should" run NWN.

Only thing is that graphics card, you better check it out. On googling from what I can find it doesn't seem very good, and I don't think it would run NWN.

The same goes for me. I've got NWN and finished the OC a long time ago so I don't know how it ran on my computer. The system specs are an AMD 1500+, Geforce 2MX 100/200 (I know, I know), Sound Blaster Live 5.1, 256 MB RAM, all running on Windows XP.

ADD: I want to play SoU and HotU as well. Maybe ven EfU, so keep that in mind!

Link you could run it, but if you were playing a lot online then I would recommend you get another 256mb or 512mb RAM, which is always a good adition anyway.

Well I only have 192MB of ram and a Gforce MX 400 and NWN runs fine and I can play online fine as well.

Requirements mean nothing, at least on my computor. I have a beast with 386 (I think) mb Ram, with the built in video/sound card. Both are crap, but it works like a charm, with some things tuned down!
