revised cheapness (spoilers)

Finally finished the game *whew*. I found a nice little twist to the ultra-cheap spike-trap trick with Melissan. In using Jan as my thief I had him gain 5 spike-trap abilities throughout the game, i then had him memorize two simulcrum spells. The simulcrum-clones also have 5 spike traps each. So now you can nail that infuriating bitch with badass spike traps for each of the 3 subsequent battles with her. Very nice, don't even need to lift a finger except for getting rid of the energy-pool guardians, in battling which you now have plenty of spells to spare as you no longer need to save them for the feather-capped whore. Party on.

ps: I gotta say I was a little disappointed with the ending, Melissans' death was nowhere near brutal and satisfying enough. I wanted to literally gut that hag for trying to play me for a chump (even though I'd cottoned on to her plan ever since Gromnir Il Khan said that she was a lier and a deciever). Also, in becoming the new Lord of Murder it didn't demonstrate enough of the carnage that gets sown all over Faerun. Ah well, minor gripes, still a great game.

So, you chose to become a god? That's OK. However, if you finished it with a good character and chose the god path, there is no carnage because you actually become a GOOD god. However, the true good path is not to accept and remain mortal.
