On the many occasions I've actually seen it happen, yes I do believe in it.

Yes, I do. It is best explained as "cause and effect/consequences". Actions that you perform, either good or bad will have an effect later in your life or in some religion, the afterlife.

Anyway, we should keep this as simple as it is because discussion of religions is prohibited in IW.

It’s just… what ever present entity (i suppose you would call that a god* but we're not getting religious) decides what is wrong and what is right, and how is a punishment possibly equal to what that person has done.
I really don't understand how the universe can govern people, and decide what rewards or detriments people deserve. I just don’t believe (for example) someone who has lived an evil existence will be more likely to receive some sort of disadvantage than someone good.
Maybe there is a god* (I’m trying to keep it simple, but it’s hard) or maybe we are just atoms, and coincidences happen, I don’t know with Karma, something ever watching, keeping a record of ever little detail.
“ok Luke… now you will have to die in this car crash because you swore 16 minutes 63.295434 seconds ago, ohh but in my notebook here I see you should miraculously survive since you gave your seat to someone on the bus on the 22nd of august 1993 at 2:15 pm”.
I don’t know

*I’m not talking about “god”, just coincidence and the universe, I hope that is unreligious enough, and I use that word, failing a better one

Well, to make it as simple as it is without any religious context, Karma is not about god or any deity. It is a believe that every action we do will trigger certain of chain of events. Of course good deeds will trigger chain of events that will eventually rewards you.

On the other hand, bad deeds will trigger chain of events that will ultimately harm you or the people close to you, for example your family and close friends and etc.

Some people might "get away" clean after years of notorious crimes and bad deeds but thier children will not be so fortunate, and children of their children and so forth until the bad karma is balanced out, so to speak.

yes but I don't think Karma has the right to do that to an innocent person, and maybe it's just a way for people to make themselves feel better.
You are talking about the Buddhist belief of Karma, anyway it seems a bit conflicting with the god* is all forgiving idea.

Like I said. Karma is a believe of "action and consequences". Some people may view it as some sort of religion, some people may simply believe it as "what comes around, goes around".

I am not here to discuss about religions and etc. You ask if we belive in Karma and we gave you our answer. The question of whether you believe in it or whether it is conflicting with any other religion is besides the point.

In my previous posts, I tried to give a more detailed explaination of what Karma is. Or at least this is what I was taught. To discuss anything further is to touch the subject of religions and faiths, which I am very reluctant to participate (sorry) and also not allowed in this forum.
