Well, so far NYC has a huge budget gap, and now the MTA is in heavy negotiations on whether they should strike or not. I must say, Bloomberg has really messed up NYC. I really don't know how they'll get out of this one.

I thought the MTA was Albany's concern, not Bloombergs...

That's what I've been told. I'm not a native though, I could be misinformed.

When Giuliani staved off the strike during his tenure, he stepped up and got a court order, but it wasn't his position to negotiate pay rises etc.

Anyhow, they haven't striked yet.... let's wait and see though. I'll have to walk across the 59th st bridge if they do....

They should have let Rudy keep on running the show!! Lets just hope he doesnt let crime get out of hand again like Dinkins did.
