Yeah Ive played grand theft auto 3 and tekken tag and they are all awesome. I am addicted to tonky hawk 3 and devil may cry. they have a baldurs gate???? Hmmm Ill have to check that out. I hear they are making some sort of all online FF11. they will market computer games and ps2 games and they will all be compatible in this online world, and you have to form coalitions and stuff in the online world to get past some tough bosses. the online kicker is that there will be a monthly fee to play in this online world and stuff like that. i dont know if i like that idea so much, what do you folks think??

Yes FFXI is a MMORPG (of which there are already several - EverQuest, Anarchy Online, DAOC, etc.). To my knowledge, FFXI will be the first console game of this genre though, as the others that I have listed are all PC games. The last I'd read, though there might well be more recent news, it was supposed to be released in Japan early this year.

I'm a huge fan of the FF games, but I tend to find online games lacking, repetitive, and extremely time-consuming. That doesn't mean I won't try it, because most likely I will - I guess I'm just a little dubious.

As I do not have a PS2 (I'm still in the Dark Ages with my PS1), I'm still waiting/hoping for a PC version of FFX, though I've heard no mention of any plans to make one.

I've got
Devil May Cry-Simple, but very very fun!!

WWF Smackdown-I love this game. Great entries, cool rooms, body-thumping fun for the whole family.

Gran Turismo (A-Spec)-Wonderful graphics. This is a must-get game for the Playstation 2.

Red Faction-Better than Halflife on the Playstation 2. Cool multiplayer because of the ability to blow up the environment.

Silent Hill 2-Scary as hell, but not as good as the first one. Play this if you have a big screen and a home theatre or something. Great environment.

Tekken Tag-Great game. Excellent controls and graphics, and it gets fantastic to play when you get used to the controls. Easy to learn, difficult to master.

and finally.. Grand Theft Auto 3-The Best game on the PS2, no exceptions. I've been playing this for months, and I'm still in the first third of the game. Use cheats, spawn a tank and have a ball!

As lifetime said GTA3 is the best game on the PS2. Great fun to play even if you don't attemp missions.
Devil may cry is one of if not the hardest game i've played wich makes it great fun, its got supperb graphics.
SSX:Tricky is also a great snowboarding game. its got really easy controls and is fun to play with a friend.

also FFX looks like it'll be great when it hits the shelves everywhere, not just america and japan.

As for FFXI I think the idea is good. Online play, and I get to pick if i'm a dragoon, or black mage, or whatever classes they come up with? Sounds good to me. Of course I am a huge FF fan, and I also love Phantasy Star online. (Although I don't own it.)
GTA 3 is cool I admit that, but's it isn't as cool as FFX. There will probably be a PC version of that btw.
Oh and I wish I could play some of you guys in Tekken Tag. Everyone down here sucks. (They all like Eddy. I wonder why?)Bring it on Ultra-Hard cpu! (After awhile they get pathethic too don't they?)

GTA3 is the best game!

But as someone said earlier, Devil May Cry is simple. It's just so easy. I got it, and swapped it a week later. All my mates said they could complete it within a weekend. I didnt have a weekend to spare as I was playin GTA3 solid!

But for the 2 hours I played, it was just too easy!

Devil May Cry has some of the shortest levels I've ever seen, and some of the coolest sequences, but some of the enemies are tough as hell. If you guys have played it, maybe one of you can tell me how to kill shadows, because I cant manage it at all (I'm doing a secret mission where I'm required to kill all the shadows)

And Redblueflare: Eddy has been seriously gimped since Tekken 3 since most characters can counter his long and easy to pull-off combos with a low jab. But newbies still like him since he's easy to play. I have a friend who plays with Paul and his game place looks like this : Pheonix Smasher, then Charge and do a shoulder block, rinse and repeat

Its nigh impossible to beat because the Pheonix Smasher is hard to block, and the Charge and Shoulder Block nail you right as you're getting up so you cant do anything at all..

Me I use Lee the most..I love his moves.
