For the third time I tried to follow Flames Mod 4d instructions. This time I managed to move files into the wrong places where the game would not work at all on the beach (programmer error messages). So I killed the game after unsuccesfully trying to uninstall from Wiz 8 (ended up deleting Wizardy 8 folder). I re-installed from CDs and realized I hadn't saved the patch dated 12/23/01. Now I can't find it on the Web anywhere. Seems that almost if not all sites removed the 3.6 MB file. So...

I need a site from which to get the 2nd patch. I will settle for the first if it is not nec for Flame's mod.

I will need to read between the lines of her text on how to copy directories (folders): I think I was clicking on folder names, not the icon. (Win kept asking me to enter a folder name and then I got the wrong files copied). Thanks for any help. I want to fix this and have the 4d mod installed before starting a new game. Zig

Edit: I got the file from 3dgames finally thru a link from Wiz 8 site: I couldn't get the Wiz 8 site to work (I think) because I chose Flash. Non-Flash worked. PS: FilePlanet wanted a login and money. A web search through 3 pages did not work for the patch. Praise to 3dgames! Now, if I can figure out how to get FlameStryke's files to the proper places...

that final patch is post-pickpocket fix, right? there was a patch just before 1.24 (think it was dated around 11/21) that fixed everything except pickpocketing.

anyone know if that's around anywhere?

I've got them somewhere, been meaning to post them all onto the site, will try to get some time over the Easter break to do that and was also working on a patch which "retro-patched" back to v1.0 (for those that got the CDs which came pre-patched to the latest version, which is a good thing, but for those that wanted to "risk" the other bugs, they couldn't experience the pre-modified pickpocketing). Depending on family/social commitments, see what I can do about getting this done.
