I'm scanning the never-ending points of the internet for some software which will make 3D movies. I want to be able to make 3D Characters in a 3d environment, and adjust them frame by frame. However, my search is i vain. Anyone got any suggestions for software I might want to use and where to get it? I really want to make my own fantasy *slash* action *slash* adventure film with sowrds, elves, dwarves, goblins, quests, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Well there is Maya, but I doubt you'll be able to afford it. Come to think of it, I don't think is really any good freeware around for making movies. Am I wrong? I don't know.....

Bryce and Poser, Mac/PC/Linux versions are out there, get any version of those two together (I recomend Bryce 5 and poser 3 if you can afford them) Mixing them with Flash MX will allow you to size down the movies for the internet, but the movies themselves can be compressed with Windows Movie Maker and iMovie... and Bryce and Poser are both, probably, the easiest 3-D rendering programs ever... so I'll just shut up now and give you some links...

Bryce 5

Poser 5

WOW! Bryce is Cheap these days! Poser remains a 3-Digit Number. :/ It's actually more expensive to get poser 4 and 3 than it is 5 though...

OH but don't take my word for it! here's an example of bryce and poser in action:
you can't make out the details but there are little cracks on the floor tisles and stuff and the bones of the skeletal warriors have some nice texturs, I just compressed the heck out of this so it would load quickly:

Credits go to DeathBringer, who is a poser-maniac.
