I'm getting all of 6 or 7fps, and that's with all the settings on minimum. Maybe I should totally turn off shadows, eh.

My system:

Pentium M 2Ghz (rated at 2.99Ghz)
1GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia Go6200 w/ Turbocache 128MB
WinXP SP2

Turn off everything. The game still looks pretty much the same...

Water settings are an FPS murderer. Turn off reflections and refractions. Draw distance doesn't seem to have too much of an impact. Lower everything you can to "Point" but don't select "none" or it will make the game look like a blob of pixels. So again, kill shadows, water, bring lights down to 2 or 3 and set textures to medium. Kill "Bloom" too if you want. The game still looks very much the same this way. Make sure AF or AA isn't on and don't even think about HDR.

Hmm, on every setting off, except some higher texture resolutions and 800x600, the game looks pretty good to me, and it runs *smoothly*. Even at the big fight right at the beginning.

AMD XP2400
1.5 GB RAM
GForce 6600 with 256 RAM

Yeah dropping to 800X600 is as instant fps upper. On some games lowering res does nothing but here it works.

That would be the fault of your 6200, but you're stuck since it's a laptop.

X2 4400, 1GB DDR400 and a 7800GS gets my, on average 20fps but it it did drop down under 10 in a few big battles. The game is set to 1280X1024 with all settings on high, except shadows which are on low.

Interestingly enough the auto detect function really underestimated my graphics settings. I'm hoping that we'll see either a patch, or optimized drivers to help out a bit although it still runs fine as is. Anybody running SLI or Crossfire?

FYI the game also runs on my wife's laptop.
1.6 Pentium M (which is about 3.2 GHz Pentium 4 or so)
1 GB Ram
Radeon 9700 M

The only problem really is overheating when the resolution is set to anything higher than 800x600.

I have a 3.2 OC'ed to 3.8Ghz
2 Gig GSkill ram (fastest you can get)
Geforce 6800 GT 256mb (Soon to be 7950 at Christmas maybe)

But it SHOULD run like butter on my current system. Battlefield 2142, Oblivion, WoW all maxxed (and Might and Magic: Dark Messiah) run great.

I'll get NWN2 in a day or so.. still in transit shipping.. I won't patch it as per no crit rebuild. (Bought the DVD version)..

Will post my initial impressions as soon as I play it.

Well i'm running a 3.5 Dual Core and a 6800 with 1 gig of ram and it runs bad. There are people on the forums (not one or two people but alot that I have seen) who have SLI cards and 2+ gigs of ram with Core 2 processors and they still get 25-35 fps max. The game is in fact more demanding than Oblivion but it looks far worse than Oblivion! There is no visual justification for the strain it puts on your hardware. Now, I am the last person to scream "Bad code" for no reason, but what else can this be?

The Dev's have conceded there is a problem and they will try to make performance better in the next patch. They said no more but they edited the system req's and scrapped the lower cards too since they have no chance of running the game in a way that is playable. Seriously, when you max out the settings the graphics still look dated and simple compared to M&M and Oblivion...even WoW has more beauty and it's system req's are really low.

NWN's 2 has all the hallmarks of another half-finished Atari game rushed out for holiday season. The story is there, the gameplay is there (the controls are bad though atm) but I just wish it ran properly.

Edit: Who did you order the game with Ziroc that it's taking so long? As always I went EBgames.com and got it very fast. Their retail stores are bad but online is excellent for pre-orders.
