Romance Triangle Trouble - Help!

I have both in my group, and I *NEED* both in my
group, but they friggin cant stand each other. Aerie
whines. Jaheira nitpicks. Together, they bounce off of
each other like ping pong balls. They just recently
came out of a HUGE fight, and now I'm somewhat
worried about what happens next.

My original intention was to start a romance with
Jaheira, but to be honest her consistent bad attitude
and haughtiness is pissing me off. I have more respect
from Aerie for fighting back with some 'tude.

Anyway, will having them in the same group harm my
chances with either? I'm starting to think I should
start telling Jaheria to shove it and comfort Aerie
more. She diserves it.

My plan of action: dumb Jaheira, grab Anomen to replace her.

UPDATE: Wow, I feel terrible! First I break her heart, then I dump her for the new guy. But she was so...mean? to everyone. He even looks like a more capable character than she. This'll be something I'll have to mull over.

Forget Aerie, shes got like 30-something hit points dies every fight. I replaced her with Viconia. Jaheira is annoying because she cant use most weapons- Rashad's talon scimitar so far seems to be the best thing she can use but...whats the deal. How come Viconia can't wear plate armor but my character (cleric) can?

Is Viconia strong enough to wear or even carry plate mail armor? She only has a strength of ten which gives her what about 75lb weight allowance? Or maybe drow can't wear plate mail?? I really don't know......

Dump 'em both!

Take Viconia from the Government district (although she's also a romance NPC!) and also grab Keldorn. With these two - Keldorn, with some niffy weapons later on, you can use him as a rampaging tank.

But if you can't then I'd say dump the Jaheria. Sorry, but I'd rather have Aerie with a Robe Of Vecna and have her standing behind me, than a whiny druid. Depends on whether you have a good fighter or not really - that's why I suggested the Keldorn thingy.

One more note: If you have Jan, don't have Aerie. (these two are first class dying NPCs for their crap HP, you'll need Jaheria's good fighting HP)

Some points:

1) Viconia is evil isnt she? Then she's not going to like my 17 (heroic) rep group with Me, Minsc, Keldorn. NG, CG, LG, (duh) respectively. Wouldn't elbows get rubbed?

2) Dump Jaheira huh? heh, man that still makes me feel bad. I get too sentimental, hehehehe. Hmm. Who would replace her?

I would dump Jaheira for Nalia! Why? I am so glad you asked

You have a good bunch of fighters so no need for any more. While Jaheira has some good healing spells, these are easily made up for with Minsc/Aerie/potions/ring of regeneration. Nalia adds another mage to the mix, which I think is very important to back up your tanks.
So IMHO dump Jaheira, add Nalia and kick ass!

Give her the scimitar +3 "waters edge" or Belm +2. They are more powerful and belm gives you 1 extra attack.

forget druids altogether.. unless you're a druid. the npc druids suck... all you have are jaheira and cernd, and those shapechanging abilities... who cares...

I've always found Jaheira to be a very useful tank.
Kit her out with the best armour available, Belm Scimitar or Gnasher club and the reflection shield or another good shield. I usually get her AC down to about -9 that way.
She can also cast insect plague, imho one of the best spells in the game, excellent at disrupting enemy mages and making fighters run around in a panic.
