Ironworks Forum W&W Links

This link should work whether you are registered here or not:
https://www.freewebs.com/ishadnha/W&WAttachments.zip
If not registered fully, if you get nowhere clicking on the link, log out before clicking on it.
It contains most of the files listed below, but this is only v0.5
It is also attached to the bottom of the page, for those who are registered here fully.

This is the collection of the relevant parts of the Attachment section of my User CP. I altered the Post names to numbers, Post names are just rehashes of Topic names.
Where a topic contained one of my uploads, I included the relevant web address in my notes below. Check it out, there may be interesting notes in the topic.

For uploads by other fans:

Check out Visit Ironworks Website.
You will find a page for W&W:
http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/wiza...rs/index.shtml

Among other downloads you will find an editor:
WWEdit by Frederic. 2001
On Windows 10 this starts by flashing a dialog box that says "Wizards&Warriors directory not found!". Fortunately it then starts normally...
It covers: Name, the eight Stats, XP, level, max HP, current HP, role, levels in each Guild, Gold and levels in each Skill. Download:
http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/wiza...ads/wwedit.zip

One link is very interesting: http://www.tk421.net/wizardry/ww-intro.shtml
"John Hubbard's Wizardry & Wizards and Warriors Site
This site has a great wealth of information on W&W, but it also covers ALL of the Wizardry games! A very nice site, and it's been around for a long time, which is great! A very nice Walkthrough can be found Here as well!"
This page is not explicitly listed in the table of contents at the top of the page:
http://www.tk421.net/wizardry/files.shtml

You will find a few dead links too...

At last, a real mod for W&W! Alz was a worker at Heuristic Park. His website is at:
http://curiousconstructs.com/deep6/
The Grab Bag page contains an expansion for the Crypt area:
http://curiousconstructs.com/deep6/i...New-Levels.rar
To use the expansion, I suppose you just drop the files into the relevant folders.

For a Crypt map by him, see Ironworks topic, "Editor and Mod for W & W", page 3, post #23.

SS-Sketches.rar - this contains seven sketches of important characters in W&W.
Rar files can be opened by various programs, one is the freeware 7Zip.

I don't know how easy it is to use that Alz mod, may need to contact him...

Now that Gog is selling W&W, it is also fixing problems too. They sorted out the problem with the unclickable buildings/compressed avi files.
If all goes well they might sort out other problems too:
Earlier access to the Valkyrie and Zenmaster classes, this is what the designers originally intended.
Fixing the bugs that stop access to some of the Brimloch Roon quests.
Fixing the need for each PC to get a Letter of Jathil&&&

That would be great!
I didn't realize that they had W&W on GOG which is also good to learn. I lost my disks, notes, files and book in a fire. With it on GOG, I might be able to play W&W again!

W&W was added only a few weeks ago, after years of waiting...
At US$6, it is very reasonably priced. Gog version requires no CDs, it is all downloaded.
For links, see my recent topic"Wizards & Warriors is available at Gog!".

I bought it and started playing - little weird getting used to the controls. Hope to have some more time to spend playing it! >^..^<
