The story thread got me thinking... how about the poets amongst us?
So a poems thread. As with the stories, no judgements, so slagging or discouragement please. I know there are several bards around and lyrics and poems often have a very blurred line between them - i feel poetry is any form of written/spoken expression and even many great stories are just really long poems. (Homer's Illiad and Oddessy, Bihari's The Satasai, Attar's Conference of the Birds, etc...)
So feel free to express, or just discuss a favourite.

I used to have one of my own in my sig briefly and I saw LoA's in Ladyzekke's House of Questions. So in a way it's already begun.

But I guess I should start it off here...

Nice leonis!
I have a problem with writing poems, I can´t rime tha well since english is not my first languish so.. if I write one, they won´t rime and some may nit make any sense..

Good one though and this thread will probably get alot of additions!

OK I have to say I didn't write this but I think it's really cool, nonetheless. You'll all recognize the guy who wrote this.

This is wonderful!

Wolfgir - poetry in english (and most languages i believe) doesn't need to rhyme to be poetic. it's what's in the words that counts. i would love to see one in sweedish if you have one.

Memnoch, Cloudy, BK - Shakespeare was a much underated poet i believe - i have a little book of his sonets that i take with me to weddings - majestic.

BK - that's heartbreaking and beautiful at once. i'm stunned
