Myrek! I'm so glad I'm not the only one with Daggerfall on the list- I was starting to wonder if I was a freak! Since we are listing- here's my list:

1) Daggerfall
2) BG2
3) Ultima 9
4) BG1
5) Heros of Might and Magic

1: Betrayel at Krondor
2: Planescape: Torment
3: BG2

Betrayel at Krondor has always been my favourite, especially since I'm a huge fan of Raymond E. Feist's books...

Wow. I have no idea what you guys are talking about! I'm not really a fan of those pen-and-paper, no, I never had the opporunity! Computer RPGs were the ones who introduced me into the RPG gaming genre. So far, I have been into BG2 and before, BG1. I like the story, equipment, stats and the editors! Now here's what I like best:

1)BG2
2)Torment
3)Chrono Trigger-way, way back during the SNES era
4)Final Fantasy Series
5)BG1

Well, these are the only ones I can think of...

G'day! I've just turned 34 so I am a veteran of the old computers like TRS 80, Apple IIc etc... some great RPG were around when I was growing up... Bards Tale series, Wizardy series, Ultima, Zork etc... Balders Gate was the first RPG I'd played in about 10 or more years, got me back into it!....
My Faves..

1. Balders Gate II - Immense!
2. Bards Tale 2 - For it's time awesome, very challenging!
3. Bards Tale - Got me completely hooked at the time (My Half Orc Hunter & Human Monk ruled!)
4. Balders Gate
5. Wizardy - The original one!

(Bards Tale III was somewhat of a disappointment, anyone else try that!?)

I even remember playing a game on the TRS 80 back in about 1982 called "Hell Fire Warrior". Took about 15 min to load (500 baud tape drive). The graphics were ummm basic to say the least. Nice packaging though! Ha!

Regards,
Simon

- Baldur's Gate series(duh!)
- Fallout 1 & 2 ( A post nucleur environment game.Pretty Original)
- Final Fantasy Series (Except FF8. No doubt with beautiful and enriched graphics, it
fails to deliver a solid plot. Hope that FF9 could live up to its name and make up
to the previous blunder.)
- Chrono Trigger (a masterpiece!!)
- Might and Magic 2: Gates to Another World.(The very first RPG for me.)

All the above RPGs are not place according to any ranks or whatsoever. All these games are special in their own ways.Take Might and Magic 2, an 80's CRPG, only 12 bit, weak graphics but delivers so great a plot that even now makes me wonder what 'll happened if the latest technology is being used for such a wonderful game.

1. Baldurs gate 2 (Obsessed and can't wait for the next one!)
2. Every Final Fantasy (I just Bought 9!!!! Looks beautiful!)
3. Diablo & Hellfire (How can you play the same game four times and still have fun?)

I will alway prefer Dice, books, and the fellowship brought about by spending hours Cowriting and acting out little stories with friends, than sitting alone at my pc clicking away all the little monsters...
