I was in the library and found this book on the 'New arrivals' shelf.
took it home, read it, finished it, and....
was wondering to read the first 2 or not

pros: some snappy dialouge, plot twists, and some butt-kicking actions!
cons: plot holes (Troy and Ed should REALLY work together, not write the tales and get together to see if they matched), dumb plot for Vangerdahast's escape, lots of hack/slash/kill, and a sad ending.... (get your kleenex nearby folks)

orcs, ghazneths, dragon oh my!

grant you, I was indulged by the tale of Rowan, was saddened by Talaslanta's choice, and Vangerdahast's difficult choice (fiesty old guy, he's the only one I look forward in reading this book). I find... forgive me...Talaslanta quite boring (pining away for Rowan too much).... Alusair was the most interesting between the two princesses.

trying to picture Talaslanta and Vangerdahast kissing had me retching...

Thank you for the post.
I own the previous two, but have not read them.
I am still looking foward to buying the Death of the Dragon when my pay-check allows it.
I am getting it mainly because Troy Denning had something to do with it.
I really admire his work.
Ed may have held him back from making the novel truely grand.
