The cool thing is, genuine female gamers tend to be good gamers( as opposed to those who were cajoled by their brothers/boyfriends), because they have the interest, the real need to want to excel in the game they are playing.

I dream of a future, where the split among the gender in gaming people becomes 50:50.

Dude, when I think about the kind of girl that plays counterstrike over here, thats kinda sad..
But not surprising.

The guy who started this thread seems so quick to proove himself wrong..

I would be a happy happy man if my girlfriend played Baldurs. Have a little romantic dinner, some good sex, and then down to some romantic MULTI-PLAYER SHADOWS OF AMN! OH GOD YES!!!!!

I'm even more of a fanatic than my boyfriend (on all three counts, heh. )

Why does this question pop up every other week or so? Sheesh, is it really such an unbelievable notion, a girl who plays and even *gasp* enjoys computer games? Seems like some of us are *still* living in the Dark Ages

The RPG world is far from a male world, I would have thought there is far more appeal in RPG and all the diverse elements of it as opposed to FPS stuff like Counter Strike etc (Which I as a male don't play hardly)

Girls have more common sense generally, they don't have to run around a FPS shouting l33t words at everyone they kill and trying to impress all on the server......which a lot of MP games are mainly about and don't deny it

I know plenty of girls/women that play computer games.......its just a past time, a leisure activity....should it really be so strange?
