First of all, i ask that if a player character can ever achieve a status in the current game without removing the ex cap to be able to learn, memorize and cast level 9 wizard or level 7 priest spells. And about the expansion. I see that some of the level 9 and 7 spells are just sooo powerful and that makes me wonder wouldnt u become like god and make the game completely just a game of slaughtering enemy like insects in the later levels?

Level 9 spells CANNOT be memorized without exp cap removed, but level 7 cleric CAN be memorized without the exp cap removed. As for the expansion, I am sure Bioware/Interplay will take into account of the power of the current high level spells and create situations/creatures that can counter some of the effects of such spells. Afterall, they do expect the game to be fun and challenging while you are achieving level 40.

Also, for mages, INT determines the level of spells you can memorized. If I am correct, you will need INT of 18 to scribe level 9 spells into your mage book.

Yes, but it will take a lot of quests in BG2 to get you in a position to get up to level 40, also I'm betting that there will be a tarrasque in TOB. There are some hardcore spells as well, don't know if they will be standard AD&D.

You need to remove the XP cap. Additionally, the only spellcasters which can memorise 9th level are Edwin (Int 18), and your own character ((if he has an INT 18)
