I am in a bit of a pickle, as the music downloader that i have installed (Imesh) is not working properly as it keeps failing or most are duds. If any of you have any good music dowloads that you have, could you tell me so i can instal them so i can play them with my guitar for my lessons.

Any discussion will have to be limited to legal ways of accessing music according to rules based in the USA.
We are not allowed to permit open conversation of illegal downloading.

I would point you to either Yahoo, or MSN, both have legal downloadable music, for a price. Usually in the neighborhood of .99 American per song, or you can buy whole albums if you wish.

The software itself isn't illegal is it?
My friend has some of his bands music on one, that's all, so I was just curious |

The software isn't illegal but most people use it the illegal way.
Some providers have a music purchasing thing too. |

iTunes has the Music Store built into it which is fast downloading and very cheap.

I use MSN through media player myself. You have to put up with DRM encoding but that isn't too much of a problem with a creative mp3 player. Only stuff I don't download is continuous CDs (pink floyd). Good to rip these as 1 mp3.

Considering most legal songs are only about $0.99USD these days, why not support the artist if you like them?

You really have not identified what you are looking for. Free service for listening, there are many. Yahoo = Launch, I like Danceage for a lot of older stuff and some stuff is for download, I also have iTunes, which is probably the only one that fits the category of 'musicdownload' they also have internet radio, which I frequent as well. Keep in mind Larry_OHFs post, and you'll be just fine!
Not familair with Imesh, does it require a log in or pay for service for premium options? Could you be on a overloaded free server? Could you possibly be having a connection malfunction on your end?
