Well, I thoroughly enjoyed the game (5 full playthroughs) (!) but not everyone likes it. It is very immersive, but it takes a while getting used to the system, esp. if you're coming from the Bioware Infinity Engine type games. (It took me awhile to adapt to their system as well, LOL, but I'm glad I did...I'd have missed out on a lot).

I don't know what to tell you, Bahamut, other than try reinstalling it and giving it a go again. We have a great forum here for it, filled with many helpful people if you need help starting out.

Cheers,

I think the size of the W&W forum ought to say alot about the game's popularity too (though I expect Wiz 8 will outgrow it someday)

I know I enjoyed it!
If you do like it more on your second try, give Wiz 8 a shot too!

i used to play Wizardry 5... and that was on SNES... i liked it, although the gameplay was brutal.. as in not a chance to make even one mistake. you die, your dead. anyway, i liked W&W but the thing isi i am having a hard time getting used to it... plus it doesn't give me a good sense of direction on where to go... nuts
