After meeting Jahiera & whatsisname at the Friendly Arm,if you hang about too long Jahiera makes it quite clear we need to go to Nashkel,so we went at about level 1-2(4 of us).
In my current game I,(Charlotte/human fighter)& Imoen headed straight to Nashkel to pick up the Ankheg armour buried in the field,and the two of us equipped with Ankheg armour,Rings of protection,Belt of piercing...are killing lots of baddies,and raising our stats' really quickly,-I dunno if this is a good idea though-we'll see!
Charlotte killed all those Spiders in Beregost on her own at level 1 with that armour! and also Silke (easy) the tough assasin mage in the pub in nashkel and the level 5 fighter/assasin in the pub in Beregost,-cool armour that! Get it!

Thanks. Don't (yet) have ToTSC so I can't get it. But would love to know if there are other things in the original.

The Ankheg plate mail is at location x2552 y3760 on the Nashkell map. You have to have Tales of the Sword Coast installed. There are some other items that are hidden on varies maps. If you want to know where to go to get these locations let me know and I can tell you if you haven't found out already.

Draconia: I completed BG (unpatched) without Tales of the Sword Coast and managed to find the ankheg armour without any difficulty. But with patched versions of BG, I'm not so sure. Word has it that the ring of Wizardry can no longer be found, but it is vague regarding the other bonus items (like the ankheg armour).

Listed below is a list of easter items I've compiled:

Locations

1. T-Junction (2nd square east of Candlekeep):
ring of protection +1 NE of where you meet Elminster
2. Friendly Arm Inn:
ring of wizardry (x2 to 1st lvl spells) -> 2553, 3761
(NB: some BG updates may not have it anymore)
3. Nashkel:
Ankheg Armour & Pearl -> Field towards the west 186, 2747
4. Nashkel Mines:
Wand of Frost -> 167, 177
5. South of Nashkel:
Cloudkill -> 1783, 415
6. SE of Nashkel Carnival (adjacent to the Exit from the Mines):
Ring of Protection from Fire -> 1956, 2375
