Especially in early unpatched versions these are mighty tough considering at which point of the game you come across them.
So
1. "Slow": It will also slow down the regeneration rate
2. Haste your party (and use all other improvements for more ApR, like Offensive SPin or Improved Haste)
3. Hit them with magical weapons only, everything else is a waste
4. Use all other offensive buffs you have (Strenghth form Potion or Spells, Chant, Bless,...)
5. "Lower Magical Resistance" followed by insta-kill spells or stun spells
6. Same goes for weapons with stun ability.
7. Use Poison (items or spells), Insects, Bleeding,... everything that does dmg/round to counteract the regeneration.
8. CHEESE - If you're using an early version it might be possible to use a Nishruu on it, as many of its special abilities come from an undroppable Ring which the Nishruu will eat due to a bug. I'm not sure if this will work though.

Concentrate your whole party on it in any case.

Thanks you you guys who responded, but i just fought it and found that in the heat of combat, with my main guy on speed, i had Viconia and Aerie cast Holy Smite and killed it. just an idea for those who may wonder later.

Also, improving your clerics thac0 and having her hit the wolfwere with harm, will work. just remember to have your tanks hit him right after...
