He'd just use his folding, bullet-proof, plexiglass Bat-Shield to deflect the bullets.
Worse, if you make him mad, he might even start tossing the Bat-erang, or worse call Alfred to bring him his Bat-zooka.

I admire the guy in a "at least he believes in something" kind of way...though would a man willing to risk his life by dressing up as batman and sneaking into Buckingham Palace really make a good father?
At first I would say "no" but then I realized that he's doing this FOR his children, and any man who is willing to risk his life for his children should at least get to see them... But then again, he may just be whacko...

I knew a guy who wore a Superman costume to high school more than once. I mean the whole outfit... boots... cape... everything. He even got his picture that way in my senior yearbook.
