FREEDOM!!!!!!!!
Please consider this, the Welsh have the Welsh assembly, the Scottish have their assembly, the Northern Irish have one too, but the English have the British Governemnt. Personally I don't think thats very fair, especially when taxes paid to Westminster by the English are used to subsidise the other countries, as they are at present. If Scottish devolution is to be considered it is not Scotland being free from England but a disolution of the United Kingdom. No-one here in England has been asked if they wish to become independent which they will if devolution occurs. I would therefore ask you to think more carefully about your earlier statement, as really Freedom for Scotland is also about Freedom for England.

Hmmmmmm....As you can see from my profile, I'm Scottish and yes, I'm proud to be so. I guess that means I love the country of my birth and I would also say I an a nationalist (with a small "n").

What that does not imply is that I harbour any hatred for the English, Welsh, French, Outer Mongolians or any other race, creed colour on this planet. I will judge any culture on its actions and on the respect it affords others of divergent views.

That having been said, the occasional wind-up of the inhabitants of "Englandshire" is not without a certain merit....

I have no problem with Scots, my family is Scottish on my mother's side, but I do feel the UK is a solid concept, I am English but also British.
