Rarely, and only when the computer crashes. That, and when you die repeatedly due to some idiotic passage in the game.

I often get into game-rage but very seldom I actually smash things.
My usual game-rage session look like this:

1. death (in the game): silent muttering and complaining to myself

2. death: louder muttering and swearing to the game

3. death: shouting insults at the game and the computer

4. death: louder shouting insults at everything

5. death: beginning rage, slamming fist on the table and stomping feet on ground

6. death: leave the game absolutely calm, go outside to take a smoke-break while having visions of smashing the game-cd and armageddon

7. death (restart after smoke-break): beginning insanity, threaten the game to be deleted from harddisk when not obeing my commands

8. death: howl in pain and leave the game thinking 'maybe tomorrow'

It is not adwised to enter my room after the 4. death in a row.

Never, believe it or not, however I get mad when people hit my screen or keyboard, I can't stand the idiocy of blaming your incompetence on a inanimate object

It's the pc, it isn't just an inanimate object, it's a monster, trying to hurt your soul!

I never smash my PC, money doesn't grow on trees you know.

I do find myself swearing a lot when things don't go my way in a game, but i have a simple solution: escape-exit-go do something else.

yup. that is the only game i have EVER taken back because i hated it so much i would just snap it otherwise. i got it one day, and in a few hours had done all of easy and most of intermediate. then came a kind of curvy level with square corners that i swear is impossible to complete. i got so mad i took the game back the next day.

other than that i tend to be a sore loser at the tekken games when i havent played for a while. normally this just makes me strive to return to form untill i reach a stage where the offending person is a walkover .

i have damaged a PS1 dual shock controller throught mashing it against the floor in fury, (while they still cost £20 each, and didnt come with the machine) but i fixed it so thats ok

My bro when totally pyschotic playing Wizardry8. Some BS skulls wiped out his 300 hp fighter in a matter of seconds. I was downstairs, but all heard was a bunch of loud bangs, the keyboard smash, and something hitting the ground. WHen i went back up, the little plastic stands keeping the keyboard up were broken and some keys popped out of place. FUnny for me, not for him.

In total, we've lost 4 mice (from BG II, and Morrowind)

I rarely get into a 'game-rage'. It's more likely that I'll get angry with myself when I die. I'll smack my forehead and scold myself.

"It's a Daedric Shrine...why did you enter a Daedric Shrine? Christ, you're only level 2, you idiot

I usually get into game rage for one reason, when I believe the computer is screwing me over, allow me to explain. In a game, involved with turn based combat, you constantly miss an attack over and over again while your opponent hits you dead on everytime. If that happens, I'll curse and beat the hell out of the biggest thing near me. It went a little far a couple of times though, when I smashed two N64's paddles of mine. Feels good to let the rage go sometimes
