order of quests

Hey, i just started the game again and i was just wondering for the people out there what's ur order of doing the quest. for me i like to do everything i can in the athakla before i leave and do outside quest, like the trademeet, and the castle and stuff...

Depends totally on who you meet and what you want to do first. I try to do most/all of them in Chapters 2 and 3 before I get into the storyline. There's no order required or anything.

Assuming I came out of the initial dungeon and did the Cirus Quest, follow by paying respect to Mencar...I prefer to do the slave freeing quests in the Slum District first, then usually follow with Nalia's quest (which will give me the stronghold). Then if I feel lucky I will stop by at the Guarded Compound and collect my Celestial Fury. I usually finish the Renal quest before going to Trademeet and then Umar Hills. Once my party is properly equiped, I will do the Windspear Hill quests. When I head back to town it will be Unseen Eyes, Hare'dalis, and Planar Sphere, eventually leading to Kangaxx and Twisted Runes. Obviously I am not the most eager brother on earth as I enjoy side-tracking days before paying the Shadow Thieves.

that's pretty much what i do accord, but who's menkar( i pretty bad with names) and what's the twisted runes quest?
i dont' remember a quest called twisted runes when i passed the game the first time.

Mencar is the pesty little drawf who you meet in the 2nd floor of Dens of Seven Vales in the Promenade, take him out and you have yourself a full plate or $1500. As for Twisted Runes, that's the quest that require a rogue stone, one of the tougher fight in the game, and the entrance is in the Bridge District. In short, you will face: 1 lich, 1 vampire, 1 beholder, 1 cleric, 1 mage ... hmmmmm I think that's it. Like I said, tough fight, be prepare if you decide to stop by.

ohhhhhh yahhhh, now i remember=) i did kill menkar and i did the twisted ruin thing. i think iam just losing my memory too much playing hehehe

No problem, happens to all of us. We are likely to suffer from excessive BG2 withdrawal when everything is over.

I'd recommend completing all Amnish Quests except for Cult of the Unseeing Eye, Twisted Rune encounters. Although you'll face overwhelming odds, try to get the Celestial Fury from the pirate house, it rocks.

Also, for quests outside Amn, do the De' Arnise Hold quests first, then move on to the Trademee/Druid Grove area.

Follow that up with the Umar Hills, Temple Ruins.

Lastly, if you feel lucky, go kill Firkragg at the WindSpear Hills. (I hate that room of undead..)

The room fill with undead is not too bad if your front tank can wear the Amulet of Power.
