i like EVERY square game (except for SaGa frontier), but ff7 is a step above the rest. of course, quick on its heels is bg2, altho it will NEVER have a chance of surpassing it...

I can't believe I missed this thread...

I'm a Paladium fan... Started with Robotech, moved to Fantasy, and RIFTS...

Before that, I was a TSR playa... D&D since the "blue-box" to AD&D & Ravenloft.

The Storyteller system (White Wolf) is a great world, but I don't like the system itself.

Lately, I just convert everything to GURPS and move on....

I take it the Wizardry series is the same game system Moni?

Originally made for the dinosaurs of PC's, Wizardry is also available in the form of Nintendo games, where I got my first on-hand playing it experience with it.
It has come a long way since then!
Check out the Wizardry 8 Forum here to see more on the newest expected version!

No, Wulfere, I never played any PnP games. I played shoot-em-ups like Duke Nukem a LOT for a while. I was really great at them too. Played on Damn I'm Good setting (which is the hardest, in case you didn't understand). Then switched to games like Betrayal At Antara, the whole Spiderweb Exile series, Kings Quests, etc. One of my old favorites was Castle of the Winds and I played teh old Moraff's World too. Helped hubby with Fallout 2 and a few others I can't think of right now. But Wizards and Warriors is my favorite right now. I hope I find something I like even better, but can't imagine what it will be.

PnP:
The original D&D with the box set, with the dice of many colors and sides with B2 module in it! Was my first rpg and we had a blast playing it.
Gama World- like D&D but with guns and mutants!
Top Secret- like D&D but with James Bond!

Later on,
BattleTech-Big robots that go boom!
ShadowRun-Fanatsy and Science met and go wild! Orcs with guns!

Current Favorite ADnD 3rd edition. Balance! I am sick of hearing mages say they are the superior one's and only should be powerful..blah..blah..blah, sheesh, balance people!

Computer:
Curse of the Azure Bonds-first CRPG I got and it was great!
Diablo 2-It's fun to play and you can make your character great and have fun with it, plus its a great stress relief.
Asheron's Call-It's great fun to develope your character, you can play it when ever, and you don't need to spend uber amount of time to be decent at it (unlike Everquest).
Tribes-Team strategic PVP!

I'll add that I want to see a good Shadowrun or gama world crpg, and hope they get World War II online fixed.
