Question regarding the above, as I haven't ever used it.
If you cast Imp. Invisibility and attack someone...your opponent can attack you at -4 "to hit", right? So...if I break off the attacks and retreat somewhere...does the invisibility kick in again. i.e. the opponent can't target me any longer OR is he/she/it still able to "see" me as I already attacked them once? Any help is appreciated. I'd rather get an anwser here than waste a spell slot trying to find out. ------------------ Now where did I leave that doughnut?! |

The enemy will be able to detect you after you attack him, but attacks at a -4 penalty because of your semi-invisibility.

Also keep in mind that the enemy cant target you with spells AT ALL untill they dispel the invisibility. And that makes it even worse when the invisible character is wearing a Cloak of Non-detection. hehehheehhehehehe meaning that they have to be in a relatively small area in order for that spell to work.

Ahhh...I see...
So, you can be targetted by melee or missile weapons, but not spells? Is that right? ------------------ Now where did I leave that doughnut?! |

You got it. Of course area spells can hit you, but spells aimed directly at you like magic missile, etc won't work. Of course you can't target other monsters with spells who have improved invisibility on either, but you can with weapons at -4.
Thats why all those mages always cast True sight all the time, so your group doesn't get sneaky and go invisible on them. Ive always thought it funny that some evil mage im pounding on is casting truesight on nothing, instead of a defensive or offensive spell. he he he he. |
