Does anyone use the demon summoning spells? I imagine that they would be dangerous, but I think that it would be a good theme spell to have a necromancer to use along with animate dead of coarse. Also, are necromancers hard to play without the use of illusion/phantasm spells? (mirror image) being one example.

The 7th level priest spell 'Gate' is fantastic, it summons a pit fiend which is really tough and will kill everything in sight. The important thing to do is cast protection from evil 10' radius on your whole party before the demon is summoned. And stay still and let the fiend do all the work
