All right, since June 22 is a ways off, someone has convinced me to buy either Morrowind or Dungeon Seige. Which shall it be?

depends on what you want, hon.
...want a deep rpg with tons of char specialization, that you can spend weeks and months on? MW ...want a fun, lite rpg ala Diablo, where you get lots of easy fights and lots a easy loot and never die? DS ...they are both good and tons of fun. ...DS also has MP altho its a little flawed. if you get kicked out, you have to redo everything cuz there's no save and no way for you to get where you were except if you run all over to find where you were. so far, MW has a stronger hold on me than DS. I havent played DS but i must say Morrowind is quickly becoming my favorite game of all time. I have never been this engrossed in a game before.

Like V stated, both are good, and I finished DS and enjoyed the action...
Now it is on to Morrowind, and I love it. The things you can do in this gameworld is simply incredible, albeit overwhelming at first... Quests galore, lots of people to talk to, bizzare names, even more bizzare charaters... Dungeon Seige is a game I will go back and play even more after some of the seiglets are released. Morrowind will keep me occupied for a better part of the year... Just to explore and experience all that the world has to offer... Both games have their good and bad points, but both are well worth the money for them...

Guess I'll be pretty harsh about this but...
Avoid Dungeon Siege at all costs!!! Ok there, got that out of my system =p. Honestly, I can understand people that can enjoy the game, and it does have its place in a way I guess. But 30 hours of same hack hack hack with no story, no drive, and a boring leveling system didn't do much for me. Yes, 30 hours because that's how long I took to finish the single player game and the lack of saving during an MP session killed my interest in it. Only reason I still keep it in my hard drive is because maybe some fun mods will be out for it. But I fear that by the time a good mod is finally released for DS, Neverwinter Nights will already be out. And honestly, it's uninstall time for DS then. Morrowind on the other hand.. OMG I can't see myself running out of things to do. And there are already so many mods out there. Most of them are still simple, but the potential for great mods to come is already there, and I can't wait. Heck, I was planning on Neverwinter Nights to be the big game that keeps me glued to my PC this year and I know that since NWN isn't out yet a comparison isn't fair, but I definitely know if I'm disappointed at all by NWN (which I'm sure I won't when I consider how much I love Bioware's previous efforts), I'll just happily keep enjoying Morrowind .

i would recommend morrowind over ds any day. I gave up on dungeon siege fairly early on, because it was getting boring. Morrowind is very engrossing and has a huge amount more depth. If you are after frenetic action go with DS though, morrowind is much slower paced....

Dungeon Siege is just hack and slash a la diablo like. While Morrowind is much much more.
