After one of those microsoft updates finished I restarted the PC and thought everything was running normal until I tried to listen to a video on the news. Nothing could be heard. I tried playing a song and nothing played. I tried doing a sound test on the speakers and nothing happened. Before panicking and thinking that my computer was falling apart hardware piece by hardware piece (I am needing a new vid card), I rebooted the machine again. The sound returned once I got back into the system. I have never had that happen before.
I have a SoundBlaster Audigy II. All drivers are up to date.

Yeah, I checked that in all the places to check it. It was fine. I guess it just did not boot correctly when the update made me restart.
