Nothing's better than a tin roof coupled with a night of thunderstorms.

So long as you don't have tree branches that scrape it when the wind blows!

I prefer just the sound of the rain thumping the (wooden) awnings, pelting the ground, and splatting in the leaves of the trees...have the window open, feel the breeze, hear the thunder...I like the smell of freshly cleaned, still moist air. Putting myself to sleep just thinking about it LOL

I love watching thunder storms out of our attic window, we have got a cool view out over the countryside.

I like Reeka's idea about "liquid sunshine"

Ladyzeeke, Moridin, I too am a rain lover.

For four years a a child I lived out on the edge of the Gibson desert in North Western Australia. We would go out and play in the warm rain when it so rarely fell. For 9 months of the year a huge riverbed near the town was dry. We'd play cricket in it. Then, each Christmas, cyclones would hit and the river would flood cutting off the town.

The moral to this tale?

It never rained, then poured.

Computer tour (this is the first time they've toured the United States since that tour, three years ago or so) and the two day-long torrential downpour cancelled the shows. As far as I know Radiohead is not coming back to do a make-up show, and trux remains sitting in a corner weeping quietly.

Bah!

I'm a creep,
I'm a weirdo,
what the hell am I doing here,
you know I don't belong here!

Bad news about the concert trux, Radiohead are one group I'd love to see live. s for loving the rain - perhaps you people should come to London for a holiday. If you come to London and don't like the weather - just wait 20 minutes and it'll change.

Having said that I witnessed an amazing sight last week from the window of my flat. A double rainbow. The sky beneath the bottom rainbow was virtually black whilst above the top rainbow it was blue sky. I've never seen a rainbow disappear before, I suppose I thought it just gradually faded. But these rainbows disappeared from one end right over the top to the other end.

I love the rain too. Especially when I can't seem to get to sleep. All I have to do is watch the rain for about ten minutes, viola i'm asleep. I like to watch lightning too.

Why Viola? Why not Violin, Violincello, Mandola, Violet, Violent, or Shazam?
