I have loaded W&W to the new system with XP and
followed the tech print out i got and have a problem.
I have sound of birds, arrows, and hits but no voice
of like the trolls talking or the snake assassin or
Toad or the rouges.
Can some one help me with this problem for i can not
find it in the tech notes. the tech notes say about some
problems but not this one.
Have been using my old 98 system for the past 3 wks
that i have had this program and trying to run the
game on my new system with XP.

one suggestion...posted by Willow, (in another thread) is to try running WW in 'compatability mode'....Win 95.

Sounds and speech...are in 2 different files.

Check in the....activision/wizardswariors...folder. Is there a file, labeled...Speech??? The size should be 58.3 MB. It contains 2 files....000-1611WAV & SPEECH.DIR .

If these files are there. Then it's prob an XP bug and might be fixed in a windows update.

If they're not there...you can copy your... 'save' and 'ROSTER.DAT' files, then uninstall and reinstall the game.

Updated sound drivers may also help. That hasn't been covered yet.
