The Win9X series had an issue with IE and the OS, remember the big debacle when MS "attempeted" to mystify the jury over the IE with the OS issue. Well, in all reality it was not that far off. In that OS, IE is an integral part of WE aka:Explorer. So, that explains the mishap from the initiation point of the Norton install. Good luck.

well it is working fine now, have reinstalled norton and its going fine, but now there is another problem, there were some viruses about and he got rid of them. The thing is, he now has this error that keeps coming up all the time. It's called loadPM.com or something along those lines, when I get home Il find out the proper name, its definately load something (not loadqm) but I think its loadpm.com or something

Ok it was actually called loadpe.com although I have found a fix for the problem, so its ok
