Arcane Archer build for Garnet

This is the AA build I came up with after long trial and error (Celfydd).

Race: Elf

Final AB with Ancient Longbow of Divine Power and all magical boosts to DEX: +79/+74/+69/+64

Can buff AB with bard song +1, bless +1 to AB 81 (other buffs possible?)

Final AC with Torey Loremaster's Dress: 87

Hmm, nice. The archer I had in today on 15 is 10 bard/30 AA, AB of 76, with the Elven Court bow from lvl 8. Her final dex was 50, with all bonuses, and using Turmish for Freedom, her ac is 71. I have several variations on the theme, going with Ranger 9, or Fighter 9 with one lvl of wizard. The Fighter/AA build ended up with 52 Dex, she's a formiddable opponent.

Or a lot of money for scrolls - improved invisibility + premonition + shadow shield goes a long way to preventing scratches and bruises.

By the way, I'd just like to point out that this crazy DEX score is only possible because the Great Dexterity epic feat is also an AA bonus feat. Having a class with this ability is a major advantage over other classes if you can use it to boost your AB. Others include:

The Great WIS, however, can be used with the Zen Archery feat to have a direct effect on AB.

Other classes wanting to max their primary ability score: tough.

Thanks for posting [img]smile.gif[/img] . This is what I'm working with right now:

So far, Isande seems to be working out. Rather than go finesse (since I didn't think about it, never using a melee weapon, and y'all mentioned it *after* she'd focused), she focused in longsword for those minute moments in time that perferation simply will not do. Haven't had any of those moments yet, but I've been assured they will occur.

Other than that, she varies from Celfydd in that she has both Cleave and Great Cleave. Bard song, of course, as well as basic skills such as Find Traps, Wounding Whispers and War Cry. Dirge would be a bit of fun, as well, if I should raise her Cha high enough to gain the spell which is a little doubtful at this point.

She's only 25 at the moment, (11/14) with AB46 with the Elven Court Bow of Speed +8 and a half-Elf which means she doesn't incur the the Const or xp penalty, AC 55 (which will rise with more Dex boosts), Perform at 35 and Spell at 19 (which will rise). Can't recall what Disc and Tumble are at the moment, but high enough to be effective thus far.

Strength is 18 (23 boosted) adding to the Ouch Factor, Dex 17 (29), Charisma at 14 (23) for Bardic skills, Constitution 14 (19), Int 12 (14). Obviously, I had thought to build her up for Overwhelming Crit but realized that wouldn't work well for a bow (and was properly advised to that effect ).

(And kudos to Z or whomever may have sewn that particular little dress to begin with [img]smile.gif[/img] )

Hey Rogue, your list is incomplete. The classes that get Great Dexterity as a feat are as follows;

AA, obvious;
Bard, as stated;
Assassin yep;
Shadowdancer.

Note: I realize that cleave and great cleave do not technically work with a bow although they do seem to (it's wierd). They are requisites for Overwhelming Critical which is what I was aiming for originally.

In hindsight, I would not choose those feats again for this build.

Am I misreading this?

I thought Great Dex was available to all characters after level 20.

Dex based Weaponmasters may not sound like a good idea but with the weapons and armour available in Undermountain they can punish and be very difficult to hit.

You can take the feat as an Epic Character, the classes listed above get the feat as a Class Specific feat as well, which would mean that ocassionally, on lvl ups, you could take it twice, if your char/class level up feats occur at the same time.
