Dear me, Deary deary me.

The lonesome road is nothing. I saw it in the shop, and one of my characters was a dwarven fighter. I couldnt wait to get it. I had him grand mastery in axes...

I went to the shop with my 45kGp, and then decided I didnt want it.

It wasnt a patch on Joril's Axe. That Axe kicks ass, and my fighter used it til the end of the game. Best weapon there is: Joril's Axe.

I must admit, those are all great "toys" but i have you all beat... i think the best weapon in the game is valiant (Marekth's schimmy)... but the only that beats all of y'all is the "Twilight's Hammer" a little something i made... here are the stats...

4d10+1d5 elctrical, ice, fire or poison. (it will do 1d5 of one of those)
+3 THACO
+5 to Strength and Dexterity
-4 to Wisdom, and -2 charisma
it enables you to summon the "black ice knights" (that the auril mage in Joril's lair has) greater ice trolls, and ME!

a level 40 custom character! (my class is Black Knight)
and changes day/nyght to twilyte...

so... do i gots you all beat??!!

Exactly which long sword +5??? and where did you find it?

I thought the best long sword in HOW was the Long Sword of Action +4 and that the only +5 weapons were those with +5 against specific monster types.

Well, Long Sword +5 (Mebbe +4) When Within A Dragons Flight Of lac Dinneshire... Yet Once You Get It You Cant Go Away From Lac Dinneshire Anyway... It Also Gives +10 HP... IIRC..

I have a

4d12+1d79 elctrical, ice, fire or poison. (it will do 1d53 of one of those)
+34 THACO
+56 to Strength and Dexterity
--1 to Wisdom, and --22 charisma
it enables you to summon the "black flame knights" (that the auril mage in Joril's lair has) greater pillow cushion trolls, and ME!

a level 40 custom character! With an uzi.

I am sorry but Joril's Axe +3 is the best weapon. It might be a two handed weapon, but when it smacks it really packs some heat.

::shakes head:: Boys and their toys.......

The restored sword of whats-his-name is sweet (thanks to lil' Miss Elie I now have it) but for all around kicking ass, give me the Long +4 teamed with the great shield +3 (there's a couple other really lovely shields, too).

For a ranger, the heavy crossbow repeater is good (for a crossbow) or the repeating long bow backed up with a few handily enchanted arrows......plinks nice little holes inthe baddies in no time.

IMHO, the best weapon in the game has yet to be mentioned if one includes ToL in the mix.
