I wonder if it's possible for someone to send me this IWD file?

It seems as if area AR8001.CBF in the CD2 Data folder may be corrupt. The file is 6 MEG's (is that big?) and it looks like that may be what's crashing the game upon attempting to enter this area. I'd appreciate it big time if someone has the time and inclination to send it to me. If it's too big then don't worry about it, it's not the end of the world.

Why not copy it from the IWD CD?

Charlie,

It is a big file, but if nobody with a faster connection can send it to you, I could try. I have never tried to copy/send one file from a program like that, don't know how it would work..probably be painfully slow...sigh.. even sending photos is pretty slow for me.

You know what? Why don't we ask B tonight? You high speed connection junkies are gonna force me to fix my slow computer up one of these days...LOL

I know nothing about corrupt CD's myself. It won't play on 2 computers. The shop has none in stock, getting to and from said shop is a f*****g nightmare. I had hoped to try to play the game this evening. This file is the area that falls over and replacing this file seems like a possible solution until I can get the CD replaced. It may work, it may not, who knows. If CD replacement was a viable option at this time I wouldn't be trying to fix it myself.

Thanks CB, that's all I needed. I think your connection may be a little slow for that file but Turbovee or someone else with cable may be able to do it in a sensible time. Personally it's all a mystery to me too but hopefully I can cajole bro' into sorting it for me.

Hi Charlie, I had the same problem with my BGI cd. It wouldnt install on 4 different computers. Finally had to send it in. Took a couple weeks but they fixed it. Problem was I couldnt take it anymore and bought BGII and later couldnt get into BGI. Oh well, hope the file Ziroc sent you works. We're going to multi on that!
